Limestone fireplace with trumeau - transition Louis XV / Louis XVI

Stone fireplace with carved trumeau, made entirely by hand by our craftsmen stonemasons in our workshops located in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, South of France. Carved into the stone of Estaillades, a natural limestone from provence, it is patined by hand.

Of a transitional style between Louis 15th and Louis 16th, it is characterized by a combination of curves and cons-curves and rectilinear geometric engravings (typical of the Louis 16th style). The Louis 15th style, meanwhile, is represented by the wide mouldings that runs all along the hearth opening and the hood carved with a moulded oval medallion.

A large tablet can serve as a console (for decorative items). The beautifully moulded cornice finishes this beautiful set.

The elegance of this fireplace is also due to the fact that all the edges and outside corners are rounded. Those of the hood are even engraved with fine vertical cartridges.

→ Possibility to change the dimensions and patina according to your indoor and / or in order to accommodate an insert.
