Beautiful Louis 13th-style fireplace with trumeau

Fine example of a Louis XIII style fireplace with opulent mouldings. The lower part of the two cornices is very finely hand carved with dentils. The trumeau (or hood) shows a beautiful rural setting : sunflowers and other clusters braided fruit. A large sausage-shaped moulding surrounds the entire hearth opening.

This fireplace is cut, carved and scupted by hand in our workshops located in Isle sur la Sorgue (city of water, art and Antiques). It is an original creation of Les Ateliers AE Bidal. Inspired by the Louis the 13th-style, this fireplace is manufactured into the white stone from Provence quarries, the stone of Estaillades.
