Carved limestone wall fountain : Poisson I

This elegant garden wall fountain in carved limestone is hand-crafted in our stone cutting atelier located in Provence.

This fountain is hand-carved in the stone of Avy (a firm white and frost-resistant natural French limestone).

It features a large molded half-moon basin made of several massive stone elements. The flat copings are slightly rounded, which gives them more depth.
The narrow and slender pediment is very finely hand-sculpted with a concave niche fitted in its center with a majestic sculpture of a fish (also called dolphin) hand-sculpted by our stonemasons. On each side of this pediment can be seen carved windings, and on the top cornice, a hand sculpted shell. An imposing yet elegant overhanging molded cornice comes above it.

The water gently flows from the mouth of the sculpted fish.
